Your first race morning can feel like a lot. Let’s make a plan. 🩷
The running bit you’ve trained for. It’s everything *around* it that catches you out: what to take to number collection, what time to leave home when roads are closed, where to park, the toilet queue nobody warns you about, and how your family will find you in a crowd of a few thousand people in the same running kit.
The First Race Morning Kit pulls all of that into one calm, pink little plan.
What’s inside
- ⏰ Departure planner. Pop in your gun time, drive time, and buffers, and it works out your wake-up, breakfast, leave-home, and start-pen times for you.
- 🎽 Number collection checklist. Entry confirmation, ID, temporary license reminder, and what you need if you’re collecting for a friend.
- 🎒 Packing lists. The night before, what you’re wearing, what’s in your bag and what you’ll want after. Add your own items too.
- 🚗 Parking and getting there. Road closures, parking spot, cash for car guards, and a “where did I park?” reminder.
- 📣 Supporter plan. Where they’ll watch, what you’re wearing, your rough finish time, a meeting landmark, and a back-up plan for when phones die.
- 📋 Copy to WhatsApp. Copy your race-morning plan, then paste it into WhatsApp. Nothing sends automatically. A manual copy fallback is available.
- 🖨️ Print-friendly. Prefer paper on the fridge? Hit print.
Good to know
- Works in modern browsers with JavaScript enabled. No login needed. Open the HTML in a browser rather than a file-preview app; local-file handling varies on phones.
- Your answers are saved in the same browser when storage is available. They do not sync across devices; private browsing and file-preview apps may not retain them. Download a text copy or print your plan as a back-up.
- Includes 5K, 10K, 15K, and 21.1K presets, plus a custom-distance field. Finish times are estimates based on your pace and start-line delay.
- Digital download: nothing is posted to you.
